We were shooting clothes for a catalogue. I posted a casing call on almost all the websites out there. The one that i found useful was www.StarNow.com - very good casting management system, many girls applied, easy messaging to candidates.

But what i usually find annoying, this time is not an exception either, is that people apply just for the sake of it, without any intention to come. Despite the fact that i asked in my casting description - “timewasters do not apply”.  Result - 2 girls out of three didn’t come and didn’t answer their phone.

I do understand, casting was not a paying job, but TFCD, but still, do not commit if you don’t intend to come.

Another thing, girls, read the casting description before applying. The casting is NON-paying job in London, girl is from Manchester. How?? No, really, HOW?? Why apply if you will not come and that’s a FACT and you know it. YOU WILL NOT COME. Which sane person will go from Manchester to London and pay travel expences for the shoot which is not paid for?

So i’ve got quite a few of those to screen out as well.

In the end the shoot went fantastic. Thanks to aspiring model Lulu from London, and a couple of other girls
